摘要

Nanocrystalline BaTiO_3 powders were prepared via a chemical process. This process involved the addition of aqueous barium nitrate, titanyl nitrate. triethanolamine (TEA) and sucrose to produce a homogeneous complex solution. After the complete evaporation of homogenous solution, the Ba-Ti-TEA-sucrose complex decomposed and produced black, fluffy precursor materials. The precursor materials on calcinations to 700 deg C for 2 h produced nanocrystalline BaTiO_3 with the corresponding average x-ray and TEM particle size approx 20 nm. BaTiO_3 powders modified with SrTiO_3 [Ba_(1-x)Sr_xTi_(1-y)Zr_yO_3 (x = 0.03, y = 0)] and BaZrO_3 [Ba_(1-x)Sr_xTi_(1-y)Zr_yO_3 (x = 0, y = 0.03)] were also prepared using this mute and investigated through x-ray diffraction and energy dispersive x-ray analysis.
