A new species of Morchella, M. bicostata sp. nov., is described from Sichuan, China. This species is characterized by reddish-brown to flesh-coloured hymenia and tortuous, bicostate ribs. Its gross morphology and microscopic features are illustrated by photographs and line drawings..
