摘要

The present study was conducted in Bangalore Rural, Mandya and Tumkur districts of Karnataka State. It was found that most perceived role of Sericulture Extension Officers were 1) to estimate the DFL requirement of Sericulture farmers; 2) to organizegroup meeting to educate the farmers on new technology; 3) to help farmers in procuring good variety and cutting; 4) to supervise CRC which come under the jurisdiction and 5) to evaluate the work of Demonstrators and Inspectors. Adequate training shouldbe provided to the Sericulture Extension Officers to enable them to understand the crucial role to be played by them on the right perspective and to contribute fully to the success of sericulture development.
