This week Romanian scrap exporters, having finally come back to the market after the Christmas holidays, have faced completely different foreign markets compared to the situation before the holiday period. During the holidays prices in the import scrap segment added another $40-50/t thanks to efforts of the key world suppliers, mainly the US and Turkish ones. As a result, quotations have exceeded long-awaited $500/t C&F Turkey target.
