The retention of seasoned nurses not only helps to address the current and projected nursing shortage but also retains their wealth of experience, expertise, and knowledge in the workforce. Seasoned nurses will want to remain with an organization that creates a sense of belonging by providing human resource (HR) practices that meet their needs and by making seasoned nurses feel that their contribution is valued.
