摘要

Experimental lab-scale methods using activated sludge were preliminarily tested for the evaluation of the biodegradability of organic substances and the occurrence of toxic effect during waste treatment (see Part I of the present work). By means of the above mentioned experimental approach the formulations of a family of detergents were studied and tested in order to optimise their environmental performances leading to an environment friendly detergent line (EFDL). The following steps were performed to obtain a) an effective and complete assessment of environmental impacts of detergents, b) the correct choice of components of the formulations of EFDL and c) the study of the behaviour of detergents in term of biodegradability under real conditions:Evaluation of biodegradability of: Single components of detergents formulations (pure surfactants, biocides, antifoam and wetting agents, etc.); Series of detergents able to satisfy all the requirements of a community (personal hygiene, dishwasher, floor and other types of detergents); Mixtures of different detergents in order to assess their environmental impact as a consequence of possible interactions among components (this is the real case of community wastes).Evaluation of environmental performances of the investigated substances by composition of a relative hierarchy composed by attributing conventional marks to the different characteristics of the same.
