摘要

We present experimental estimates of the possibility to use an adapted ground penetrating radar (GPR) for mapping subsurface zones (lenses) polluted by oil products as a result of ecological accidents. The radar was tested at the site of a large lens with air kerosene at a depth of about 6 m. On the basis of comparison of radar measurements and geological data obtained by well-boring, it is shown that use of GPRs for mapping subsurface lenses with oil products is expedient.
