摘要

One of the first impressions many viewers have after, watching "Let It Be," a 120-minute documentary about the lives of three old rice farmers in southern Taiwan, is that there is a lot of laughter. Through beautiful, candid cinematography, the film follows the daily routine of its main characters, a 76-year-old rice farmer named Kun-bin and his wife. The stages of rice growth are documented in a stunningly graceful way that makes the crop look picturesque and elegant, something no filmmaker had yetbeen able to accomplish.
