Rubber Board, India, has launched a campaign to promote weekly tapping of rubber trees. Inaugurating the campaign at Chirak-kadavu Model RPS, Kanjirappally, Kerala, Rubber Board Chairman A. Ajith Kumar-stressed the need to arrange training programmes to meet the shortage of tappers. He said the Board would take the initiative for the training in association with Rubber Skill Development Council by using the platform of the Rubber Producers' Societies (RPSs).
