Guatemala, positioned in the North Western hemisphere, lies between latitude 0° and 20° North in line with the India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, the main rubber growing areas of the world. Guatemala has an area of 108,900 km2 with altitudes ranging from 0 to 4000 m., straddles Central America with access to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
