摘要

Interest is mounting in the use of low-speed machines acting as gearbox free wind-powered electricity generators. Another constraint is that wind-powered generators must be able to run at variable speed in order to achieve optimum efficiency. Inthis report, we describe a doubly-salient permanent-magnet variable-reluctance generator driving a pulse-width-modulated rectifier. The whole system is controlled by a vectorial controller. We begin by describing the system and tne modelling procedureadapted for its sub-systems, then go on to introduce a model for the two-phase machine. This is followed by a discussion on vectorial control for the VRM / PWM rectifier system. The article concludes with the results of simulation work an the system under control.
