Categories which are perceived as 'unhealthy', like butter and margarine, are set to decline further as consumers turn to low-fat staples in their daily cooking. Functional spreadable oils and fats will continue to expand their consumer base in most countries, underpinned by current demand for healthy offerings and greater affordability in the grocery channel.
