Our friend and colleague, Dr. Paul Ts'o, an internationally renowned biophysical chemist, who dedicated most of his career to cancer research, died on December 2, 2009 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was 80 years old. In this brief report, I would like to provide some information about the man, his career, and his remarkable contributions to the field of science, especially nucleic acid chemistry.
