We often hear business owners complain of long hours for little gain, high staff turnover and falling profitability. Horticulture and viticulture contractors are no different. To survive in any business the workplace must be as productive and profitable as possible. The Master Contractors Productivity Project has been initiated to help contractors address concerns with their long-term sustainability as they face significant increases in operating costs through employment costs, Recognised Seasonal Employment and fuel increases, and at the same time, declining grower client returns.
