An informal briefing note from the European Parliament has confirmed that its negotiators have reached an agreement with the Council of Ministers on the recasting of eight directives in line with the New Legislative Framework (NLF).~1 Announced late in 2011, the NLF seeks to harmonise the rules for market surveillance, enforcement and related compliance procedures like CE marking and Declarations of Conformity (DoCs) by limited recasts of the following eight directives.~2
