Complexes-facilities combining residential, office, and commercial facilities (such as shopping centers and specialty-shop arcades) -a re being developed throughout Japan. Having commercial facilities that appeal to residents, employees, and the people in the surrounding community is the key to success here. We spoke with General Manager Hiroki Inoue and Deputy General Manager Toshihiko Takano of the Retail Facilities Dept., which handles the entire range from development through operation and management of such facilities after opening.
