Neil White, a forestry graduate from the University of Aberdeen, spent the last year in Uganda working in agroforestry and community development for Aim International. In his latest article, he explains the challenges, rewards and progress of his workthere. The towering mahogany tree loomed in front of me, its shade cooling the air pleasantly in the mid-afternoon sunshine. I rested my hand on the thick trunk, looking up into the canopy of branches and long, waxy leaves. The Bishop's house lay a little distance away, sheltered by fruit and cypress trees.
