Scotland's ￡18 million Marine Renewables Commercialisation Fund (MRCF) to help develop the country's first commercial wave and tidal power arrays is now open for bids until August 1, First Minister Alex Salmond said in May. Successful projects will be announced toward the end of the year. The MRCF is part of ￡35 million to be provided by the Scottish government to support the wave and tidal industry over the next three years.
