Artificial jellyfish,explosives sensors and seabed batteries are among the diverse research projects underway at the Center of Excellence in Undersea Technology.The study is in collaboration with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) located in Newport,Rhode Island.When researchers at the NUWC began to investigate how to create a covert network of widely distributed underwater sensors,they imagined attaching the sensors to artificial jellyfish that could maintain their place in the water while passing information from one sensor to the next.
