The U.S.Navy meterology and oceanography community's experimental unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV),Seahorse,has jumped yet another hurdle on its way to full operational capability.This time,the Pennsylvania State University-designed Seahose was in the spotlight with the Navy's submarine and special operations communities as a part of one of the Navy's most high-profile transformation programs-the Trident submarine conversion to a launch platform for Tomahawk missiles and to a stealthy platform for SEALs and nearshore clandestine work.
