摘要

Export of cashew kernels from India during 2003-04 was 100828 MT valued at Rs. 1804 40 crores. This was 104137 MT valued at 1933.00 crores during 2002-03. There was a decrease of 3.18% in quantity and 6.65% decrease in value. The average unit export price realized during 2003-04 was Rs. 178.96 per Kg compared to Rs. 185 62 per Kg during 2002-03, a fall of 3.59%. During 2003-04, USA continued to be our major buyer of cashew kernels importing 48503 MT valued at Rs. 881.50 crores, and this comprised of48.10% of our totai exports in quantity and 48.85% in vaine terms. In 2003-04 also, Netherlands was the second largest importer of cashew kernels from India with an intake of 12237 MT valued at Rs. 215.00 crores representing 12.13% in quantity and 11.9%in value terms.
