The board of directors of Sondex plc(London,England)received an acquisition offer last month from GE Energy(Fairfield,Connecticut),Sondex chief executive,Martin Perry,announced.GE Energy's cash offer is ￡4.60 per share,or ￡289 million.Sondex,which has U.S.offices in Houston,Texas;Oklahoma City,Oklahoma;and Lafayette,Louisiana;and locations in eight other countries around the world,has more than 500 employees.
