Students in this sixth-grade middle school science lab are engaging in a hands-on lesson that encourages ac-tive participation with the practices of science. The instructor hopes to provide a motivating lesson for his students, but his overall objective is to involve them in multiple opportunities for valuable discourse while simultaneously teaching them the important skill of making observations and inferences in science by us-ing paper cubes and "dancing" raisins.
