摘要

A training programme on Irrigation Equipments - Emitters as per IS 13487:1992 was organized by Mechanical section of Bangalore Branch Office Laboratory of BIS (BNBOL) on 23 November 2005. Several participants from licensees of Emitters from Southern Region attended the programme. in her inaugural address Smt R. Kalpana, Director, BNBOL, highlighted the usefulness of the programme and added that such types of programme aids in clearing the doubts regarding interpretation of the Indian Standards/ test methods. She urged the participants to give full attention to demonstration of the various tests during the course of the training and interact with the faculties whenever any doubt arises. She opined that such programme ensures more familiarization with the testing procedures which is a vital ingredient for smooth functioning of the laboratory.
