This report is Forecaster's third long-term look at supply in the steam coal market. Forecaster concentrates almost entirely on the export countries that serve the international trade in this report, although there is a brief summary of the demand outlook in the following sub-section. The broadly comfortable supply position that was identified in the last long-term supply issue remains, with ample reserves available particularly in Australia and Indonesia, and with new reserves opening up in Mongolia and Mozambique alongside the return of substantial US supplies.
