So far they've been cleaned, checked, put on a rolling road and gone head-to-head in a drag race. But now it's time for the biggest challenge of all - that's right, the monkeys are heading to the track. We've come a long way since we first introduced our ￡500 'monkey' challenge. In fact, it's been going on so long we're struggling to remember why we started it in the first place. Something about buying and modifying a Ford for 500 quid springs to mind, but it all seems to have got a bit blurry as the months have rolled on... Still, what we do know is that Retro Ford imposter Ben Morley has consistently stormed to victory in most of the challenges that have been encountered so far. This is due to him 'finding' a modified 1600CVH engine in his garden shed, 'stumbling' across a mint Escort cab for ￡50 and then waking up one day to discover that Morley Auto Services had stripped and prepped the whole car for him. How convenient.
