Located in northern Clinton County Pennsylvania, these two parks offer two very different experiences for the outdoor enthusiast and site seer. Whether you camp, hike, fish or just like to ride your motorcycle on road trips, these parks offer a destination worth visiting. Although our own Pennsylvania Grand Canyon (Leonard Harrison & Colton Point State Parks) has a 'Grand' name and a nice lookout - the View at Hyner View State Park is arguably Grander. Stretching for miles in three directions, this panoramic vista offers the site seer and photographer one of the most expansive overlooks in the east. The elevation is humble at just slightly over 1,300 feet above the West Branch of the Susquehanna River but terrifying for inexperienced Hang Gliders. The Hyner Hang Gliding club who use this vista as one of their take-off spots generally classify this launch as intermediate to advanced.
