A total of of 758 Sahiwal-Friesan cattle, one to seven years old, were screened for Brucella abortus antibodies using the Rose Bengal Agglutination Test (RBAT). Results showed that only one dairy animal tested positive by RBAT. There was no retest done on the animal. Hence, it is suggested that seropositive animals by RBAT should be retested using a more specific test like the complement fixation or ELISA test.
