Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) is asking EPA for more answers regarding the potential toxic effects of dispersants used to combat the massive oil spill in the GulfofMexico. "I am greatly concerned that over 1.8 million gallons of dispersant have been applied in the Gulf of Mexico even though the long-term effects to human health and the environment are largely unknown," Nadler writes in an Aug. 6 letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.
