A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of chloranthraniliprole against chilli fruit borer complex during kharif 2006-07 and 2007-08 Kharif season. Chloranthraniliprole was evaluated @ 10,20,30 and 40 g ai ha~(-1) in comparison with thiodicarb @ 750 g ai ha~(-1) and cypermethrin @ 60 g ai ha~(-1). The results clearly indicated that chloranthraniliprole @ 40 g ai ha~(-1) resulted minimum larval population of Spodoptera litura and Spodoptera exigua. Helicoverpa armigera larval population was also low in the highest dosage of chloranthraniliprole @ 40 g ai ha~(-1) with minimum foliage and fruit damage which was on par with its next lower dosage. The application of chloranthraniliprole @ 40 g ai ha~(-1) resulted highest green chilli fruit yield of 97.44 q ha~(-1).
