EPA has rejected objections and requests for a hearing on the agency's previous denial of a petition from the Natural Resources Defense Council, which asked EPA to revoke all tolerances for dichlorvos (DDVP). "After carefully reviewing the objections and hearing requests, EPA has determined that NRDC's hearing requests do not satisfy the regulatory requirements for such requests and that its substantive objections are without merit," the agency said in a July 23 Federal Register notice.
