The Department of Homeland Security(DHS)earlier this month released the draft National Infrastructure Protection Plan(NIPP)for public review and comment.The plan derives from the White House's 2002 National Strategy for Homeland Security,which called for a NIPP.Specific guidance and a mandate to develop a plan were provided in a Dec.2003 presidential directive.
