Kim Carr,Australia's Minister for Innovation,Industry and Science,last week pledged to establish a system for regulating nanotechnology in the wake of a massive budget cut to the National Nanotechnology Strategy.In January,the administration cut the four-year 18.9 million program,which aimed to create a regulatory framework for the development of nanotechnology applications and raise awareness and interest in the emerging technology,by 10.6 million and two years.
