In tough economic times, companies might be tempted to seek shortcuts to compliance, but the potential penalty isn't worth the risk, an industry lawyer warned companies regulated by TSCA. "Faced with industry conditions, attaining compliance is more challenging," Rick Bidstrup, a lawyer for Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, told GCRC attendees.
