DuPont last week released a study that found no increased risk of mortality in workers exposed to perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA),but some groups are questioning whether the company is misrepresenting information on the chemical's health effects and are frustrated by the company's current refusal to release the full report to the public."Why won't they let the public see the report?"Mike Wright,director of health safety and environment at the United Steelworkers(USW)union,asked.Wright told Pesticide & Toxic Chemical News that USW would like the results to be true,but without access to the full report there is no way of knowing.
