Potentially lowered natural gas costs has given the chemical industry reason to cheer for the Senate energy bill passed June 28.The measure would facilitate on-shore natural gas development,improve storage and delivery capabilities,and facilitate siting of new liquefied natural gas facilities.The bill also seeks to boost coal gasification and other energy sources that would reduce competition for natural gas supplies.
