The European Commission has approved eight pesticides,despite acknowledging their potential dangers,and has forwarded its decision to the Council of Ministers.If approved by agriculture ministers in September,farmers will be allowed to continue using azinphos-methyl,carbendazim,dinocap,fenarimol,flusilazole,methamidophos,procymidone and vinclozolin,but only in restricted circumstances.
