摘要

A field experiment was conducted to determine the Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin against Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) infesting pigeonpea at the Agronomy farm, College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, during the year 2011. Considering the effectiveness and economics of seven different treatments include 3 chemical insecticides & B. basiana alone as well as its three combinatiion at half dose, B. bassiana @ 1.25 kg/ha combined with polytrin-C 0.022 per cent (ICBR 1:10.05) and B. bassiana @ 1.25 kg/ha combined with chlorpyriphos 0.025 per cent (ICBR 1:5.50) were found as effective and economical as the recommended synthetic insecticides alone viz., polytrin-C 0.044 per cent (ICBR 1:13.43) and chlorpyriphos 0.05 percent (ICBR 1:9.49) and can be recommended for eco-friendly management of H. armigera in pigeonpea ecosystem, when they were applied twice first at 50 per cent flowering and second at 50 per cent pod formation.
