Field experiments conducted on relative efficacy of different doses of flubendiamide 480 SC at 24, 36 and 48 g a.i.ha~(-1) against fruit borer Helicoverpa armigera Hub. in tomato during 2005 and 2007 at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore,reveals that flubendiamide 480, Indoxacarb 14.5 SC and Spinosad 2.5 SC were significantly superior to untreated control in reducing H. armigera population and percent fruit damage in tomato. Flubendiamide 480 at 48 g a.i.ha~(-1) recorded lowest population of H. armigera than other remaining treatments at both the year of experimentation.
