New Delhi-Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Ltd.(GNFC)has completed the merger of its Narmada Chematur Petrochemicals Ltd.(NCPL)subsidiary into GNFC(PCN,13 Mar 06,p 2).GNFC noted that,in addition to benefits it will receive because it will no longer be taxed for feedstock supplied to NCPL,the merged entity will realize a combined base of higher profitability and coordinated operations at lower costs as a result of vertical integration and diversification.
