Doha-Vos Logistics has reached an agreement with Qatofin to build a logistics terminal near Qatofin's linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant in Mesaieed, Qatar (PCN, 29 Jan 07, p 2).The 250-million terminal, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008, will have 450,000 t/y of storage capacity.Qatofin, a joint venture of Qatar Petrochemical Co., Qatar Petroleum and Total Petrochemicals, is building a 450,000-t/y LLDPE facility that is expected to begin production in 2009. The project, originally scheduled to come on stream during 2008, has been designed for future expansion to 600,000 t/y.
