Mitsui & Co.-Masami Iijirna has been appointed president and chief executive to succeed Shoei Utsuda, who will become chairman and director, effective 1 Apr. Iijima is currently an executive director and senior executive managing officer. Nobuo Ohashi, chairman and director, will become a director on 1 Apr., until his retirement, which is scheduled in June. At that time, he will be appointed counselor.
