Moscow-Sibur LLC and Novatek JSC have signed a framework agreement to form a joint venture for the production of polypropylene(PP)at the facilities of Sibur's Tobolsk-Polymer LLC subsidiary.Sibur said the new venture "is expected to specialize in dehydrogenation processing of feedstock to produce 500,000 t/y of PP." Novatek will supply gas feedstock for the project and Sibur will control more than 50% of the venture's nominal capacity.An investment decision is expected to be made during the first half of this year.
