Paris-The Solvin joint venture of Solvay and BASF has started up a new plant for the production of polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) latex at is Tavaux, France, site (PCN, 1 Oct 07, p 3). The new line, which increases the venture's PVDC capacity by about 20,000 t/y, was started up ahead of the originally targeted schedule of mid-2009.
