Delaware-A Delaware judge last week ruled that BASF cannot withdraw from a propylene oxide (PO) partnership with Lyondell Chemical Co. in Channelview, Texas. A suit filed by BASF contends that a buyout clause in the PO joint venture contract was triggered by the acquisition in 2007 of Lyondell by Basell, resulting in the formation of Lyon-dellBasell Industries (PCN, 24-31 Dec 07, p 1).
