Houston—Ar-kema has awarded Jacobs Engineering Group a contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction management services for an acrylic acid expansion and methyl acrylate project at Arkema's Clear Lake, Texas, facility (PCN, 22 Nov 2010, p 1). Arkema, which last year acquired the Clear Lake acrylic acids and esters complex from Dow, recently announced plans to spend $110-million over the next three years to expand its Texas acrylics operations at the Clear Lake and Bayport complexes (PCN, 22 Nov 2010, p 1).
