Moscow-Sibur and SoIVin have signed agreements for the project funding of their RusVinyl polyvinyl chloride (PVC) joint venture, under guarantees by the export credit agencies of France and Belgium.Sibur and SoIVin, which is a joint venture of Solvay and BASF, are building a 330,000-t/y PVC and 225,000-t/y caustic soda complex in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia (PCN, 11 Oct 2010, p 3). The project, scheduled to come on stream in mid-2013, is being designed for future expansion to 510,000 t/y of PVC and 335,000 t/y of caustic soda.
