We report new, extensive Cl calculations of the lifetimes of the 4s4p (1,3p)(o)(I) levels in Ga II. Relativistic effects are introduced via the Breit-Pauli Hamiltonian. Core polarisation is included by means of explicit CI. We obtain lifetime values of 0.528ns and 3090ns for the singlet and triplet levels respectively. Oscillator strengths of a number of other transitions are also reported.
