Electrical properties of YBa2Cu3O7-x self-supporting superconducting fabrics prepared by an infiltration process were investigated using do measurements. According to current-voltage curves, the transition between superconducting state and flux-flow regime corresponds to a high critical current density exceeding 5.5 x 10 A/cm(2) at 77 K in self-field. A quench test at 77 K using pulsed current signals with a duration of 25 ms and amplitude of 760 A has been performed to show the potential applicability of the fabrics in prototypes of fault-current-limiter devices.
