摘要

The relationship of the occurrence of appealed contract disputes with factors within and outside the contract was examined by two levels of analysis. The first level of analysis was a proportional comparison of selected variables occurring in a sample of DD Form 350 records on contracts of disputes cases with a sample of DD Form 350 records on contracts that were not disputed. The sample data was obtained from AFLC/ADUAF, the Inventory, Status, and Performance Branch, Directorate of Distribution and Maintenance Systems, Headquarters Air Force Logistics Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Variables that were investigated were contract type, type of product, total contract value, tangible assets of the contractor, and total annual sales of the contractor. A statistically significant relationship was found to exist between the occurrence of disputes appeals and variables such as total contract value, contract type, total annual sales, business size, labor surplus area, type of work, and type of product.
